Our PassionWith your support, we can continue to bring to the developing world practical and realistic solutions to the problems of AIDS, maternal deaths, and disparate health care conditions. MLI has taken to heart the words of John Paul II, “Be not afraid.” Be not afraid of the life and love God has called to you. Be not afraid of these troubled and trying times. Be not afraid to stand up for the life and dignity of the human person. In our advocacy for the human person, we must lift the veil of death and despair that hangs over Africa and reveal a destiny in which all of us experience the goodness that lies at the heart of authentic human existence. As the veil is lifted and as the revelation appears, we image Jesus’ prayer to the Father, “May they be one in you.” To that prayer, to that image, to that revelation, may our hearts quicken – “Be not afraid.”
